Jan 11 - Hyro use REV MESSAGE, REV GUARDIAN and REV VIEW to remotely monitor customers AIX servers

Service providers are finding the RevSoft Enterprise Solutions a key solution for remote management of client sites and enterprise systems.

REV MESSAGE monitors all system messages on the enterprise and reports back to a focal point system which can filter for messages which require action and send email or pager calls to support personell who can quickly respond to real time events.

REV GUARDIAN is used to ensure systems are running to specification within limits of processor, memory and disk resources. If a disk is being consumed at an alarming rate support staff will be notified and action can be taken before it becomes a problem.

Hyro have Focal Points (running Windows) set up in Melbourne and Sydney so any potential issues for any of the AIX servers appear instantly in both states.

Feb 15 - REV VIEW ENT 10.2 now has optional Encryption.

REV VIEW Version Enterprise 10.2 (ENT 10.2) now has optional Encryption for the data transmission.

Encryption can be used in 2 ways -

1. Upstream only i.e. to the Focal Point or other machine,
2. Both directions i.e. to and from the Focal Point or other machine.

The Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) method is used with 256 bit key processing.
